Writer’s block can feel like a wall that stops creativity in its tracks. For me, it hit hard when life got busy and chaotic, and I found myself unable to write poetry or songs for years. Recently, I decided to revisit the poems I wrote over time, hoping to spark the inspiration I once had. This journey back through my own words has been both healing and motivating. As Valentine’s Day approaches, I want to share one poem each week—either from my past or something new—to celebrate love, creativity, and the power of expression.

Love beyond our fingertips
By, Shelby R. Shea
The world of us,
The world of peace,
The world of love
The world just passed my fingertips,
And beyond the stars and moon..
The stars and moon collide inside, the eyes of love,
And arms of those in love.
The world of you and I,
Inside the eyes of love,
And the arms of those in love.
Just out of reach,
Just out of sight,
Just so far apart...
So close I can almost feel it
Almost see it,
Peace, safety, love
You and I the world,
Ours.
Just out of reach,
beyond our finger tips
Beyond our minds,
Beyond our hearts
Just out of realities reach...
A dream.
A wish.
A life.
Now within grasp
Within reach,
Within our hearts,
Within our minds,
The stars and moon collide.
We are never apart,
Our world of peace and love,
Here, within reach
Within our arms,
Within each other.
Peace,
Love,
Us,
The world,
Our world.
Within reach,
Within us.
