A Summer of Creativity, Connection, and Tiny Worlds ✨🎨

This season, we’re inviting the community to slow down, create, and reconnect through a series of beginner-friendly art workshops designed around imagination, storytelling, color, and shared creative experiences.

From painting tiny galaxies and watercolor blooms to creating mystery seed packets and poetry-inspired artwork, each workshop is designed to offer a welcoming space for self-expression, creativity, and connection. Whether you’re an experienced artist or someone simply looking for a peaceful and inspiring evening, these events are for you.

All workshops are pay what you can with a $3 minimum, and all art supplies are included. Participants only need to bring themselves, their creativity, and perhaps a favorite beverage or snack.

Tiny Worlds ACEO Workshop 🌍

One of the first workshops in the series invites participants into the world of miniature painting through ACEOs — Artist Cards, Editions & Originals. These tiny collectible artworks are the size of trading cards but hold entire worlds within them.

Participants create two miniature acrylic paintings inspired by imagined landscapes, dream worlds, abstract environments, or tiny magical places. At the end of the evening, everyone has the opportunity to view each other’s creations and trade one artwork with another participant.

This workshop is about storytelling through small spaces and celebrating how much imagination can fit inside a tiny canvas.

Mystery Seed Packet Creation Workshop 🌱

Part craft project, part gardening magic, this workshop combines creativity with nature-inspired symbolism.

Participants decorate their own biodegradable mystery seed packets using art materials, collage, handwritten messages, and personal designs. Each packet is then filled with surprise seeds to plant later in a garden, flower pot, or windowsill planter.

These seed packets can also become thoughtful handmade gifts representing growth, hope, new beginnings, or simple acts of kindness.

The workshop embraces the idea that creativity, like seeds, often blooms unexpectedly.

Painted Poetry Night 📖🎨

Painted Poetry Night combines visual art with spoken word and emotional interpretation.

The evening begins with the reading of a selected poem. Participants are encouraged to sit with the emotions, imagery, memories, or thoughts inspired by the piece before translating those feelings into a painting of their own.

There are no “right” interpretations in this workshop. Some paintings may reflect specific imagery from the poem, while others may explore emotional responses, memories, or abstract ideas sparked by the reading.

At the end of the evening, participants leave with both a copy of the poem and their finished artwork — a visual memory of a shared creative experience.

Abstract Bloom ACEO Workshop 🌸

Inspired by gardens, petals, movement, and color, the Abstract Bloom ACEO Workshop focuses on watercolor miniatures filled with expressive floral energy.

Participants create two abstract floral ACEOs using watercolor techniques that encourage experimentation with layering, blending, shape, and texture. The evening concludes with a mini “garden gallery” where everyone’s tiny paintings are displayed together before optional artwork trading begins.

One artwork stays with the artist while another becomes part of someone else’s collection, creating small creative exchanges within the community.

Sunsets in Acrylic Workshop 🌅

This workshop is designed as a relaxing creative escape inspired by sunsets, glowing skies, and peaceful evening landscapes.

The evening begins with a short guided imagery exercise intended to help participants relax, focus, and mentally step into calming sunset scenery before painting begins.

Participants then create their own 8x10 acrylic sunset painting while learning beginner-friendly blending and layering techniques. From soft pastel skies to dramatic vibrant horizons, every painting captures a unique interpretation of evening light and atmosphere.

The goal is not perfection, but presence, expression, and creative enjoyment.

Galaxy ACEO Workshop 🌌

Art and poetry meet the cosmos in the Galaxy ACEO Workshop.

Following a poetry reading inspired by space, wonder, mystery, and the universe, participants create three galaxy-themed ACEOs filled with stars, nebulae, planets, and celestial color palettes.

After the painting session, everyone gathers to view the tiny “cosmic gallery” together. Participants can then trade one or more ACEOs, allowing pieces of each artist’s universe to travel home with someone else.

This workshop celebrates imagination, community, and the beauty of creating small but meaningful works of art.

These workshops are designed to remove pressure and perfectionism while encouraging exploration, mindfulness, play, and connection. They are intentionally affordable and accessible through the pay-what-you-can model so that more people can participate regardless of experience or financial situation.
