What happens when poetry becomes visual art?
Join Stars & Moon Art & Poetry for a special evening exploring the connection between words and images through Painted Poetry.
We’ll begin the evening with a poetry reading. Each participant will receive a copy of the poem, giving you the opportunity to connect with the words, imagery, emotions, and themes before creating your artwork.
From there, you’ll transform your interpretation of the poem into a painting. Your artwork can be literal, abstract, colorful, quiet, emotional, playful, or completely unexpected. There is no single “right” way to interpret the poem.
No previous painting or poetry experience is necessary. This workshop is about personal expression and discovering what happens when words inspire images.
